Designer Shweta Kapur is a graduate from the London College of Fashion. After having worked with designers likes Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla (Mumbai) and Nitin Bal Chauhan (New Delhi), Shweta moved to London to get out of her comfort zone and pursue fashion. While studying there, she interned with Burberry and then again when the city got too comfortable, she moved to New York to work with VPL.
Shweta recently launched a womenswear label called 431-88. Designing for her, always starts on the pattern cutting table. For the A/W 12 collection, works of Bruno Walpoth, Gehard Demetz and Donald Judd were assembled with the characters of American Psycho, to create a story that reflects today’s society.
