Architect and Furniture Designer Varsha Jadhav did her post graduation from the prestigious National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. After which she worked in the field of Retail Design in Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai and Germany. Her experience in Germany made her think more about her culture and its roots. Soon after returning to India she started working on her ideas.

Varsha likes to use traditional materials to create beautiful modern furniture. Here are a few of her recent designs from her range called Raw-yal, a perfect union of raw straight modern lines with very royal looking fabrics. Here she uses a traditional fabric called ‘khan’ found in Maharashtra and Karnataka that is normaly used for making cholis worn with Irkal sarees.

Varsha also works on interior design projects(mainly for corporates) under her firm Bench Design and is a visiting faculty at Symbiosis Institute of Design (Pune).
