Jewellery fit for a Queen…

Swati Sahu is a jewellery designer who creates simple, contemporary designs that are rooted in Indian heritage. Here are a few of her designs from her latest collection – Sheesh Mahal.

Sheesh Mahal literally means palace of mirrors. There were quite a few mirrored halls built during the Mughal Empire. These structures are renowned for their intricate designs and absolutely amazing craftsmanship. Inspired by this breathtaking architecture, Swati’s designs are hand crafted in silver, using plique-a-jour enamelling technique, which is reminiscent of old world influences.

    Hi Nisha Ji,

I marvel at your ability to find such good artists all the time. I don’t think our Joy will ever make it your blog (the stuff he paints doesn’t make a lot of sense to me…)!
