Jewellery designer Eina Ahluwalia creates individualistic statement jewellery that is subtle yet powerful. Over the last seven years her style has evolved from being inspired by her travels, reading & photography, to her emotions in response to her life experiences. Eina has built a loyal client base in India, and supplies to independent retailers in 13 countries worldwide. She was one of only 14 people selected worldwide for the “Move Now” Workshop 2010 at Ravenstein, Holland with Ruudt Peters, a pioneering Dutch conceptual jewellery artist.
Her recent conceptual series Truth that was showcased at the Lakme Fashion Week 2010 is inspired by an end of a very deep relationship. In this collection sliced Agate symbolises Truth, often covered with intricate fretwork in silver, and strung on other semi precious stones symbolizing the changeable versions of Truth. Here are few breathtaking pieces from the collection:
From October–December 2010 the Horticulture Museum, Leiden, Holland which has one of the oldest Gingko Tree (a Japanese tree considered a living fossil) in Europe is hosting an exposition on a Gingko inspired collection by Eina along with Dutch artist and painter Doortje de Haan, who works on Gingko inspired themes.
