Neeru Kumar graduated from the prestigious National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India with A specialization in Textiles and a keen interest in weaving. She loves discovering new crafts from the places that she travels to and imbibes them in her work. She is known for her use of traditional techniques with a contemporary twist and an innovative use of colours.
Through her brand Tulsi, Neeru creates beautiful textiles for the home and clothing for both, women and men. Her clientele comprises of niche sophisticated boutiques all over Europe, the US and Japan. Her products were also displayed at Maison & Objet fair in Paris, which is the leading trend-setting exhibition in the world.
The range includes: bedcovers, cushion covers, throws & wall hangings and accessories such as shawls & scarves along with an extensive clothing range which are either woven, printed or embroidered. Here are a few of her designs:
