Dhiraj Singh is an award-winning photojournalist and editorial photographer based in Mumbai. His work has been published in The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Vanity Fair, The Boston Globe, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and The National Post to name a few. He was awarded a bronze in the War and Disaster News Story Category for his entry ‘Flood in India’, at the China International Press Photo Contest 2009. Here are a few of the award-winning images.
Recently Dhiraj participated in a Multimedia Storytelling Class at the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop and received the top student award for his multimedia presentation titled “My Name is Dechen”… a remarkably powerful photo essay narrating the story of a psychologically disturbed Tibetan woman whom he met at a monastery.
