Bright, Bold Colours and Colliding Patterns

Award winning illustrator Jessica Singh was born in Australia to an Indian father and an American mother. She has been drawing since a very young age and moved to London to study illustration at the Central Saint Martins College of Art. Jessica has won awards with Kit Cosmetics and Graniph, Japan and worked for clients like MTV UK and Yen Magazine. She has also contributed to projects with Kleenex UK (achoo!), Frankie Magazine, Lloyds TSB and the Queen of England.

Inspired mainly by song lyrics and music (BjorkJoanna Newsom, Radiohead), poetic writing (Virginia Woolfe), traditional folk art, festivals, textile patterns & prints of all cultures, Japanese and Indian comic books, natural forms (teeth, mushrooms, rabbits, hair) her work is  full of feminine beauty and power, bold and bright colors and colliding patterns. Jessica so far has had two solo shows, and exhibited in many group shows both locally in Australia and Internationally.

    Lovely colours. I like the way you have used the colours, they make the whole thing very powerful.
